Delivering to Our Senior Friends
Here at The Good News of Stanislaus County in Modesto, CA, we do most of our grocery shopping at the larger discount grocers. However, we look for deals during the month that will benefit our ministry efforts. What we can save in our shopping efforts allows us to make your donation go much further. When we go to larger communities, we set up 3 to 4 tables of groceries, and residents will come down and select the groceries they need. When we go to individual homes, we deliver two bags of groceries, one with fresh fruits and vegetables and the other with staples such as peanut butter and jelly, soup, bread, cereal, rice and beans, and much more!
Volunteers can help us shop and/or hand out groceries. We also ask that you pray and spread the Good News.

Bringing them groceries might not change the whole world, but it might change the world for that one person.
Donations Support Our Ministry
The items we can use the most are the items that are easier to sell. Sports, comics and other collectibles, gold or silver coins, jewelry, automobiles, antique and vintage items, art, and good-quality wood furniture are just some of these items.
Other items are also welcome. Just give us a call and we can discuss how your donation can help our ministry.
Volunteers
We would love to have you join us as we bless others in our community. Currently, many opportunities exist on Saturday mornings, 2 to 3 times per month. We begin shopping at 8:30 then we set up and begin passing out groceries from 10:30 to 12:30.
